Kabul, Sowgi News-Shot sporadically and a number of large-scale explosions rocked the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, Tuesday (26/5/2015) night local time. This event took place in a diplomatic district.
Reported by the AFP, Wednesday (27/5/2015) morning, police suspect that became the target of the attack was a guest house or residence. However, police have not provided detailed information about the motive of the attack.
"A number of unidentified people we suspect attacked a guest house in the Wazir Akbar Khan District," said Police spokesman Ebadullah Kabul, Karimi told AFP.
"They were using hand grenades and explosions were heard. Security officers are on site to address the attacks, "said Karimi.
The District of Wazir Akbar Khan area is used as a location for a number of embassies and diplomats living in Afghanistan. During this time the region is indeed becoming the main target of Taliban attacks in the past.
However, so far there has not been a single group that claimed responsibility for the attack.
